About Shri Satyanarayan Temple

Shri Satyanarayan Temple, located in the sacred city of Porbandar, stands as a beacon of faith, devotion, and community service. Established with the noble vision of nurturing Hindu spiritual values, the temple has been a center of worship and cultural harmony since 1945.

Built with deep devotion and collective support, this holy place continues to inspire generations through prayer, service, and sacred traditions.

Our Sacred Beginning

A Legacy Rooted in Faith

The idea of constructing a temple dedicated to Lord Shri Satyanarayan was conceived by visionary devotees Seth Jivanbhai Shamji Kanabar and Seth Bhagwandas Purushottam Ghelabhai Gandhi. What began as a noble thought soon transformed into a divine mission supported by devoted members of the community.

On Falgun Sud 5, Samvat 2001 (17 February 1945), the idol of Lord Shri Satyanarayan was ceremoniously installed following traditional Vedic rituals. From that auspicious day, the temple opened its doors to devotees seeking spiritual peace and divine blessings.

Over the years, the temple has remained a pillar of faith, uniting families and fostering devotion across generations.
